Alan is a Connecticut born photographer currently residing in Newington, Connecticut. Although largely self taught, he has studied at the Hartford Art School and New England School of Photography in Boston, Ma., in addition to numerous workshops and seminars throughout the country. Originally a classic “fine art” Black and White photographer, his techniques and subjects have continued to evolve into both color and the digital processes.
He annually shoots a Rose Series and Tulip Series in the gardens of Elizabeth Park, Hartford, Connecticut, in addition to macro images of various floral found either in gardens or their natural habitat throughout the region. He spends as much time as he can in the “off-season” on Block Island, Rhode Island. Other land and seascapes are photographed in Nova Scotia, Maine, and Vermont.
